Marami na po silang natulungan sa probinsya ng Quezon,” Go said in a video call.

Go’s team carried out distribution activities at the Calauag Evacuation Center in Calauag, Philippine Normal University Covered Court in Lopez, and Tagkawayan Municipal Covered Court in Tagkawayan. Meals, food packs, vitamins, masks and face shields were distributed to a total of 2,146 beneficiaries.

Selected beneficiaries were also given bicycles, an alternative and convenient mode of transportation amid the pandemic. Others received tablets so their children could participate in the online classes implemented under the blended learning approach.

As they rebuild their lives and communities, he reminded everyone to take the necessary precautions against COVID-19 by wearing masks and face shields in public, observing social distancing, and washing one’s hands frequently, among others.

Go offered to assist beneficiaries in urgent need of medical treatment and services. He informed them that they can also conveniently avail medical assistance from government through the Malasakit Center at Quezon Medical Center in Lucena City.

During the activity, each beneficiary was provided with separate financial assistance by the Department of Social Welfare and Development from their existing program to aid individuals in crisis situations.

The Senator also recognized the individuals who continue to serve their constituents. Among those present during the activities were 4th District Representative Angelina “Helen” D. L. Tan; Provincial Government of Quezon Board Member Isaias B. Ubana II; Ex-Officio Board Member and Philippine Councilors League President Board Member Angelo P. Eduarte; Calauag Mayor Rosalina O. Visorde and Vice Mayor Leah M. dela Cruz; Lopez Mayor Rachel A. Ubana and Vice Mayor Maria Adeline A. Lee; and Tagkawayan Mayor Luis T. Eleazar and Vice Mayor Danilo L. Liwanag.
